Wagas ang Biyaheng Calaguas

It was my second attempt to visit the Paradise in Camarines Norte and finally we made it to cruise the 2 hour boat ride to the island.  My first attempt was failed because Coast Guard didn’t allow us due to a bad weather condition.

I thought that coming here is easy but then the travel time was so long and roads to south is not yet that good compared to North but travel time was worth it. Mahabang Buhangin welcomes you with wide stretch of white sand beach with blue waters. It is comparable to Boracay beach but the only difference is that here it is virgin and you can find calm and peace.  It has a facility like Bahay Kubo’s Comfort rooms and sari-sari stores. The only water source is from Poso but drinking water and soda are available in stores.

This trip is arranged by Ken and we rented van, from Manila it took us 8 hours to reach Paracale, Camarines Norte – this is town where port is located for boat to bring you to the island. The boat ride is about 2 hours depending on the wave condition but I think 2.50 hours is already maximum.  Actually Calaguas island is under the jurisdiction of Vinzons town but the entry here is about 3 hours boat ride.

You can hike at the hills to see the beauty of the islands above; try Buko Salad Ice Candy and just chill relax and feel the vibe of the beach.

You can also drop at Bagasbas, Daet for surfing – has a good waves during my visit but what turned me off are plastic trash on the waters, yes I’ve seen some trash when I tried to dip. The rate is P350 for a board and instructor for an hour.

Travel Package Inclusive of Food P2,500.
